Don’t worry! This move only involves cyberspace and my blog…I will still be physically located in Rota through the summer of 2011. Last Post from 2010 & an Update on My Lack of Blogging…

Wow, how time flies! I can’t believe how long its been since I’ve written! A lot has happened over the last couple weeks, but here is the rundown…while on a snowboarding vacation for Christmas we had news of a death in our family and flew back to the US last minute for almost 3 weeks over the holidays. We came home to lots of things we’d left go while at home & stayed pretty busy, but also made up a little of our vacation with a local snowboarding trip. Early in January, I held my Valentine’s Day Boudoir Shoot-Out, which was GREAT! We all had a lot of fun, we shot at a gorgeous location, and all the girls were stunningl!! So although I have been quite busy with photos, I don’t post many of those photos out of respect for my clients. But, I think I have a couple shots that will be blog-able, so that is coming soon =) And finally, I have been spending many, MANY hours working a totally new, fabulous blog! This will be my last post on this one (other than a moving date & link), so you will have to follow me on the new one! More info coming soon…

For my last photo post on this blog, I thought my last shoot from 2010, which was never blogged due to our short notice trip home, was appropriate. We’ll start fresh in 2011 on the new blog! This Tanner and his 1-year portraits =). Enjoy!Click to view slideshow.

It’s a go! The boudoir shoot-out will be held on January 10th and 11th at a fabulous location in El Puerto de Santa Maria! Ladies, this is a great Valentine’s gift for your guys! And guys, this will make a fabulous last minute Christmas gift for the ladies. Why not celebrate an upcoming holiday or birthday with some fabulous & sexy portraits? I promise a fun {although perhaps a bit chilly} shoot where you will come out feeling great about yourself! Contact me for details! PS. I have had some questions as to whether I would exchange the prints for digital negatives…and in this case I will. {Normally, I do not do that, but this time it makes sense!} Also, I will be out of the office for about 10, but will have some access to email. Amber & Jeremiah…One Adventurous Shoot

I am still playing catch-up with my blogging! But does it count for anything that I am done Christmas shopping, wrapping, decorating, and mailing? Yea! Now I just have to catch up on schoolwork and photos! Here is one of those shoots that needed posting: I am so glad this couple had a sense of humor! At our first location with the cacti & abandoned building, they would have had every right to abandon me there! But they had told me they wanted an abandoned building & they trusted me through what looked like a crime scene/mud pit/trash dump in order to get these first few shots. I think they turned out great! You would never know what we went through to get them =). Then, on the way to our second location in downtown Jerez, they were following me to our destination and we lost each other in a traffic circle! Finding each other required me parking & standing on a street corner to wave them down! All in all it was quite a day, but I think we got some great images as a result =) Click to view slideshow.

Lucky Winner from CPOA Swap Meet Giveaway!

Rachelle was the lucky winner of a Heather.B. fine art print last month! Contestants entered the drawing at the 1st Annual Chief Petty Officer’s Association Swap Meet & 1 lucky winner took home this print of gondolas lined up in front of the Ponte Rialto in Venice. The post is a bit delayed because Rachelle and I had a little trouble synching our crazy schedules to make the exchange and get a photo! ”I feel so lucky,” Rachelle said, “this comes at a time in my life when I really feel like I need blessing.” Well, we hope it continues to be a blessing & is enjoyed by your family for a long time! More prints will be unveiled in the coming months…in the meantime, the January boudoir special is on! It will be held on 10-11 January at a very special Spanish location! Email me for details. =)

Another “H” family! They are popular here on Rota, I guess =). Since there are no more slots in 2010, I *think* I can safely say this will be the last blog entry this year with this title. We’ll see! This was another beautiful day in Puerto Sherry & I guess the locals are getting used to seeing me around there with my camera, because I saw today that one of the local establishments, 470 Gin Bar, is now following me online! “P” Family Portraits in Puerto Sherry

Here is another fun family session for the holidays! The P family had a great shoot in Puerto Sherry, one of our local treasures here in Spain. Everyone seemed to have a good time, despite having to get up for an early morning shoot after our evening shoot was rained out! Dang that rainy season here in Rota.
